Drone Bee
I saw a documentary on drone bees and was fascinated by their tragic lives so decided to sculpt a dedication to these unsung apian heroes. Carpe Diem, friends, for autumn approaches. I used 3D Coat and had it printed in brass via Shapeways.
Neptune
My goal here was to sculpt a full body classical sculpture in the manner of Baroque greats like Bernini. I fell way short of the Old Masters but learned a lot about anatomy. Once I had the figure roughed in, I embellished it with the trident to create a young Neptune (Poseidon) character.
Fig Pendant
I love figs so I sculpted a fig split in half and had it printed in brass. This piece has been sold.
